Student Services Associate information

How does a student services associate typically collaborate with other departments to support student success?

Student Services Associates work closely with departments such as academic advising, financial aid, and counseling to provide holistic support for students. This often involves coordinating referrals, sharing important student information (while respecting privacy guidelines), and participating in cross-departmental meetings to address student needs. By fostering strong communication and collaboration, Student Services Associates help ensure students receive timely guidance and resources throughout their academic journey.

What does a student services associate do?

A Student Services Associate supports students by providing resources, guidance, and assistance related to academic, administrative, and personal matters. They help students navigate registration, financial aid, counseling, and other campus services. Their role is to ensure students have access to the support they need to succeed in their academic journey and to foster a positive campus experience. They often serve as the first point of contact for student inquiries and may also organize events or workshops to promote student engagement.

As the largest and highest-rated American Indian nonprofit organization, the Fund has provided over $237.1 million to support tribal college education. Empowering more than 4,000 Native students annually, the organization supports not only scholarships but also funding for tribally controlled colleges and cultural preservation activities. By addressing educational needs from early childhood to career placement, the College Fund fosters opportunities for success and growth within American Indian communities.

This role reports into Program Administrator of Student Engagement and Communications as apart of the greater Student Success Services (SSS) team. This position involves frequent travel and requires someone who is organized, adaptable, and passionate about building connections that promote Native student success and is expected to travel no more than 40% of the time.

This is a hybrid position based in Denver, Colorado. The role will be expected to start off 5 days in office during onboarding and then will transition to 3 days in office and 2 days work from home days.
