Job description

Description
The ideal student employee is upbeat, approachable, and skilled at building rapport with customers. Along with great customer service skills, this position also involves receiving merchandise, including opening boxes, dismantling boxes, and retrieving merchandise from the dock area. The student assists with merchandise placement, folding, and placing all clothing items and textbooks in the proper areas. The student employee will also be responsible for maintaining a tidy and organized sales floor to ensure a pleasant shopping environment. This includes routine cleaning, restocking, and sizing of merchandise as needed. Additionally, the student will operate the cash register efficiently and accurately, providing friendly and helpful customer service during transactions. The student worker will need to provide their current school schedule, and a new schedule will be required if it changes. Student workers are to perform additional duties as assigned by the store manager. Store hours are 830-430. Students must be available in 4-hour shifts. (830-1230 or 1230-430). Prior retail experience is a plus.
Requirements
MUST BE A CURRENT HCC STUDENT FOR THE FALL 2026 SEMESTER.
MUST BE ENROLLED IN AT LEAST 6 CREDITS.
UNLESS FIRST-SEMESTER STUDENT, MUST HAVE ATTAINED A 2.0 SEMESTER GPA DURING THE LAST SEMESTER ATTENDED.
