About Us
Albany State University is a fully accredited senior unit of the University System of Georgia. Location
Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 209.
Job Summary
The Student Retail Associate provides customer service and operational support for the University Spirit Store. This position assists with sales transactions, merchandising, and inventory tasks and supports the store manager in the day-to-day operation of the store.
Sponsorship is not available for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist customers, providing excellent customer service on the sales floor.
  • Operate the register and process purchases, returns, and exchanges.
  • Assist with receiving shipments, restocking, tagging, and maintaining merchandise displays.
  • Support online order processing and in-store pickups.
  • Assist with special events, pop-up shops, and game-day sales and transporting merchandise, as needed.
  • Ensure the bookstore remains clean and organized, including tidying up aisles, shelves, and checkout areas.
  • Support store management and staff with special projects or tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be a current Albany State student enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and operating the POS system.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions and store policies.
