Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Embryology Weekend Lab Assistant to join our team at Shady Grove Fertility in Fairfax, Virginia.

  • Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM; every other weekend
  • Compensation: $23 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Embryology Lab Assistant will:

  • Administrative duties and data entry to support the lab team
  • Media and dish preparation
  • Assist in proper sample identification (chain of custody)
  • Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for equipment used in the IVF laboratory

Qualifications and Skills Include:

  • Coursework in biology science or related field preferred
  • Training is provided but a minimum of one year clinical/research laboratory experience preferred.
  • Tissue culture experience a plus.
