Regular meetings will be conducted through virtual platforms, and you'll collaborate with educators, school administrators, and community organizations to build effective support systems for students. While the work hours are primarily during business hours, occasional evening and weekend engagements may be necessary based on the needs of clients and program activities.

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate social, emotional, and environmental challenges facing students and their families.
• Develop tailored service plans that outline measurable goals, intervention strategies, and ongoing progress monitoring to empower clients.
• Provide individual and family counseling services, helping clients navigate and overcome various life challenges.
• Collaborate closely with clients to create personalized service plans and facilitate connections to local community resources, including educational support and mental health services.
• Deliver timely crisis intervention, including risk assessments and safety planning for at-risk clients when required.
• Work alongside community agencies and organizations to coordinate services effectively and advocate for clients’ needs within the education system.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote agency services, enhance visibility, and foster collaborations.
• Participate in regular case conferences, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance cultural competency and social work skills.

The social worker in this role will primarily work with school-aged children and their families, addressing a wide range of issues that inhibit their ability to thrive academically and socially. This includes but is not limited to dealing with behavioral challenges, emotional distress, family conflict, and social isolation. By being an integral part of the educational ecosystem, you will not only provide immediate relief but also equip families with necessary skills and resources for lasting well-being.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Sound knowledge of social justice issues impacting communities, as well as familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Exceptional communication skills and cultural competence to effectively support a diverse client population.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for advocating for vulnerable populations.

• Experience working within a social service agency or school environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing assessment tools and case management software to document client interactions and progress.
• Prior involvement in community outreach or program development initiatives focused on social equity.
