Your opportunity:
The Rotman Office of Recruitment, Admissions and Business Development (RABD) recruits and admits talented professionals who aim to push their limits, expand their creativity and develop their leadership potential via one of the School's 12 graduate management programs. The RABD team will achieve this goal using industry-standard best practices in strategic enrolment management (SEM).
As a Graduate Program Assistant, you will be part of an innovative, dynamic and collaborative team committed to delivering an exceptional experience for prospective candidates of Rotman's graduate programs. A critical member of the RABD team, this role will lead initiatives to admit both domestic and international students to Rotman's suite of nine graduate business programs. The Graduate Program Assistant will support the front line activities and act as the first point of contacts for general inquiries, provide admission support and financial aid and/or award support for prospective students.
Creating a welcoming environment for all candidates who interact with the Rotman School. Reporting to the Associate Director, Admissions Operations, you will work with colleagues across the RABD portfolio and the Rotman School to achieve the School's recruitment goals, and be a key contributor to a dynamic and SEM-driven recruitment and admissions operation dedicated to shaping the incoming classes of transformational graduate business programs at the University of Toronto.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
  • Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
  • Scheduling appointments for prospective students, applicants, and current students to addressindividual needs
  • Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students andapplicants
  • Determining logistical details required for the execution of admissions processes
  • Disseminating program materials to prospective students and applicants
  • Resolving issues that may occur during events and escalating problems as required
  • Supporting the planning and coordination of recruitment activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum two years working in recruitment, admissions, student affairs or a customer oriented related area
  • Experience developing and maintaining records and files.
  • Solid working knowledge of a CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and University student information system(preferably ROSI)
  • Be a detail oriented individual; excellent time management; able to follow specific instructions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicateeffectively with students, staff and faculty.
  • Demonstrated advanced skills in using MS Office, including but not limited to Excel and Mail Merge
