Pharmacist Intern Senior/OnCall/UKHC - Specialty Pharmacy

Job Title: Pharmacist Intern Senior/OnCall/UKHC - Specialty Pharmacy

Department Name: H5000: CHANDLER - RETAIL PHARMACY

Work Location: Lexington, KY

Salary Range: $18.50- $27.35 per hour

Type of Position: Temporary

Position Time Status: On Call

Required Education: High School plus Admitted to a College of Pharmacy

Required License/Registration/Certification: Registered with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacist Intern

Physical Requirements: May include standing for greater than 5 years at a time and possibly walking several miles per day. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level.

Shift: Varies- Monday- Friday 7:30am- 5pm; no weekend availability

Job Summary: This position is designed to expose student interns to all facets of specialty pharmacy practice. Interns will rotate through specialty operations, multiple disease state specific call centers, clinics, and the infusion center. Additionally, there will be opportunities to participate in clinical research projects and develop policies and procedures.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities: Attention to detail, knowledge of ambulatory retail pharmacy operations, and ability to prioritize.
