Job description

Job Title: Northview Students Ministry Assistant
Category: Campus Staff
Supervisor: Student Ministry Pastor
Classification: Part-time, 10 hours, non-exempt
Purpose of the Role
The Northview Students Ministry Assistant's primary responsibility is to support the Student Ministry by organizing, executing, and maintaining key systems, communication, and logistics at the Noblesville campus. This role focuses on creating an organized and well-supported environment where leaders feel equipped, students feel known, and ministry can run smoothly and effectively. This role is not weekend required.
MIT's (Most Important Tasks)
  1. Supports the Weekend Experience - Through administrative and data responsibilities in the office

  1. Provides Personal Care to Cultivate Healthy Volunteer Teams - Support Campus Student Pastor in leader care initiatives, birthday and anniversary cards, and leader milestone celebrations

  1. Implement and Maintain Effective Systems - Provide organization for the administrative needs of the ministry, student follow-up process, and ROCK management

Essential Duties
  • Maintains and updates the ROCK database, ensuring accurate student and leader information

  • Prepares and distributes weekly Life Group rosters, attendance, clipboards, new student postcards, and leader announcements

  • Coordinates logistics for special events and Invite Nights

  • Manages Planning Center Online (PCO) scheduling for large group leaders

  • Oversees Snack Shack operations, including shopping, restocking, and inventory management

  • Assists with onboarding processes for new leaders, helping them feel prepared and connected

  • Meets weekly with Campus Student Pastor

  • Maintains clear and timely communication with staff and volunteers

  • Responds to communication (email, text, calls) in a timely manner

  • Ensures all administrative processes align with safety policies and ministry procedures

  • Pursues personal growth and development in leadership and ministry skills

  • Coordinates intentional appreciation for leaders through events, birthday cards, treats, and regular encouragement

  • Prepares and helps distribute yearly serving milestone gifts

  • Assists in planning and executing parent-focused events (e.g., Parent Night)

  • Supports communication to families, including quarterly emails to parents from Life Group Leaders

  • Manages follow-up communication with graduating seniors as they transition out of the ministry

  • Helps coordinate birthday cards for students

  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to take initiative while working both independently and as part of a team
