Job description

Role and Responsibilities as Elementary Director:

  • Responsible for the oversight and administration of the elementary ministry program (Pre-K through 5th Grade) under the direction of the Family & Student Pastor.
  • Oversee the selection, management and ordering of ministry curriculum and supplies while maintaining a consistency with overall CBC Student ministry goals
  • Shepherd, disciple, train and equip elementary students to follow the mission at CBC with sound theological doctrine that aligns with the CBC Doctrinal Statement and Core Values
  • Manage the on-boarding process of new CBC Kids volunteers through active and timely recruiting, vetting, equipping, and training
  • Weekly scheduling of all classroom teachers/volunteers and ensuring that all volunteers fulfill their individual responsibilities
  • Ensure that all classrooms are properly staffed with volunteers and managed in a way that maintains a safe, consistent, and appropriate atmosphere.
  • Responsible for appropriate training of CBC Kids Elementary workers/volunteers in coordination with CBC Kids Nursery Director.
  • Provide ongoing spiritual care and appreciation of classroom teachers/volunteers
  • Other duties as determined and assigned by Family & Student Pastor.

  • A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with him that models the biblical standards of personal conduct and lifestyle.
  • Maintain an authentic walk with Jesus Christ through the ongoing spiritual disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, personal worship, fasting, confession of sin, fellowship and serving.
  • Be an active member of CBC, growing in community with other believers.
  • Support and adheres to the mission, core values, and church distinctives of CBC of Savannah, including the CBC of Savannah Statement of Faith.
  • Attend and participate in all weekly staff meetings/worship gatherings.
