Salary: $18.00/Hour Minimum

Report Times: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Daily Hours: 7.5 (7 Paid)
Work Year: 39 Weeks
Supervisor: Exec Dir Info & Instructional Tech & Digital Innovation
Civil Service Title: Senior Teacher Aide (Non-Competitive)
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:
(A) One (1) year paid or volunteer* full-time or its part-time equivalent experience working with children; OR,
(B) Successful completion of at least thirty (30) college semester credit hours; OR,
(C) Possession of an Advanced Child Care Training certificate through the American Red Cross; OR,
(D) An equivalent combination of education and experience as defined by the limits of (A), (B), and (C) above.
*Volunteer experience must be documented by the participating agency and signed by the appointing authority. Employment dates, average number of hours worked per week, and job duties must be included. Documentation must be included with your application.
Desired Qualifications:
Intermediate use of online ticketing system and library circulation program;
Daily transportation between schools required;
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Position Summary/Responsibilities:
Assist elementary library media specialists with the following:
Library circulation management tasks (book checkouts, sorting and reshelving, inventory, weeding, book repairs, makerspaces, etc);
Student Chromebook repair support (basic troubleshooting, entering help tickets, processing repair requests, inventory);
Patron assistance;
Each clerk will be assigned a rotating schedule assisting between 2 elementary libraries on a regular schedule;
Other duties as assigned.
