ABOUT THE ROLE

The primary objectives of the Geocycle AI Ordering Systems intern are to support the Geocycle team in analyzing current processes, KPIs and identify continual improvement opportunities. The primary focus is to support the team in the identification of and development of an automated ordering system.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Review and analyze current processes, identify performance improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
  • Research potential automated ordering systems that can be used by Geocycle customers.
  • Benchmark current solutions used in the market to automate ordering.
  • Review, analyze and identify an automated order system that will allows customer to select delivery slots based on facility opening hours, and change orders in addition to automating and optimizing delivery windows and times, and interact with customers as needed.
  • Collect and analyze environmental performance metrics.
  • Maintain detailed spreadsheets and databases tracking diversion rates, disposal costs, and recycling yields.
  • Work with stakeholders and customers to identify needs and test potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Geocycle and IT teams on the development and implantation of the automated ordering system
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviours.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program.
  • Field of Study Preferred: Business or Computer Science.
  • Work Experience: Less than 3 years.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, SAP Applications.
  • Certifications: Valid drivers license.
  • Travel Requirements: <5%.

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience with Geocycle, waste, or cement industries is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of waste management cycles.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
