Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Retail Pharmacy Student Intern, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience while working alongside licensed pharmacists to provide safe, accurate, and compassionate care to our patients. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your clinical knowledge, develop practical pharmacy skills, and make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Every day you will support pharmacy operations by assisting with prescription processing, medication preparation, insurance billing, and customer service. You'll work closely with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure patients receive timely, accurate care while maintaining compliance with all state, federal, and organizational standards.

To be successful in this role, you will be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment where accuracy, professionalism, and strong communication skills are essential to supporting both your team and the patients we serve.

  • Assist with prescription processing, medication preparation, and insurance billing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting patients at the pharmacy counter, answering questions, and supporting cashiering activities.
  • Perform pharmaceutical calculations and help ensure the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications.
  • Maintain medication inventory by stocking products, tracking orders, and supporting automated dispensing systems.
  • Adhere to all state, federal, and organizational policies while helping maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant pharmacy environment.
