Provides oversight and leadership for all facets of the student experience. Key responsibilities include: Student Activities and Organizations, Student Housing, Food Service, Student Union Operations, Campus Security, Student Tours, and Student Workers.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree Preferred
• Supervisory skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proven experience in student services
• Exemplary customer service skills
• Event planning experience
• Employment is dependent upon a pre-employment background screening
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
• Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds
• May require some travel
• Indoors, environmentally controlled
• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time

Job Duties
Essential Functions
• Regular attendance and timeliness
• Supervises the Food Service Director, Student Experience Coordinator on the Hays Campus, Activities Coordinators, and student workers
• Oversees all operations of the student union including facility rental agreements, game room, organizing event setup and teardown, and overall facility/equipment functionality
• Oversees food service operations for the Beloit campus
• Oversees student housing on the Beloit campus
• Organizes and administrates student senate activities and other student organizations
• Responsible for student discipline outside the instructional space and refers major discipline issues to the Vice President of Student and Instructional Services
• Oversees campus security
• Maintain a positive relationship with law enforcement
• Maintains inventory for the student union
• Works with the Director of Maintenance on scheduling regular safety checks of the dorms and reports results to the Vice President of Student & Instructional Services
• Works closely with FHSU on the administration of the Gateway Program
• Organizes student dorm assignments
• Organizes dorm check in and check out activities
• Organize and execute events focused on all student experiences, current and prospective
• Manage college's student ID system
• Works directly with the Marketing Director in the development and distribution of marketing materials for college events
• Maintains confidentiality and accurate records
• Review relevant areas of the website and recommend changes to your supervisor
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to Fort Hays Tech | North Central's Mission, Vision, and Values
Other duties as assigned by the VP of Student & Instructional Services or the President
