Requirements
  • Be a full-time, degree-seeking NMSU (undergraduate or graduate) student and maintain student status during the term of employment;
  • Commit to a full-year position and work for a minimum of two consecutive semesters (Fall and Spring), not including vacation periods (note: this position does not require or guarantee holiday/summer employment).
  • Be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week (15-20 hours possible) during working hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), with occasional evening and weekend work in addition to scheduled hours.
  • Attend monthly meetings from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. (day to be announced based on team class schedules).
  • Be able to participate in all components of the training process. In Fall 2026, training will take place on Monday August 17, 2026. You will be expected to be in office from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on that day.
  • Successful applicants may be required to pass a criminal and/or motor vehicle background check.

Compensation: This position is paid hourly; pay is allocated on a bi-weekly basis. Compensation is awarded for all hours worked, including training, all mandatory meetings, and any nights or weekend events. The pay is $15.00 per hour.
Benefits: Benefits include the convenience of an on-campus position, making it easy to commute between work and classes; a schedule designed to fit around your classes and studies; sick leave that accrues at a rate of 2.46 hours per pay period and access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
