Work Hours per week: up to 20.0
Hourly Rate of Pay: $14.00
What our office does:
Campus Life is located in the Student Union and hosts exciting events for the campus community which seek to educate, advocate, engage, and support students! In addition, Campus Life provides free Basic Need Resources to all students in need who are currently enrolled at CSN which range from the Coyote Cupboard (free biweekly groceries), Coyote Closet (professional clothing donation), semester bus pass distribution, and more! If you enjoy interacting and assisting students, this would be a good fit for you!
Our services benefit: CSN students and staff.
Position Summary:
  • Provide excellent customer service to all visitors
  • Assist Administrative Assistant/Coordinator in the execution, setup, and clean up of Charleston Campus Life events
  • Help maintain organization and cleanliness of designated department spaces such as office area, pantry, fridge, storage areas, etc.
  • Assist with inventory of donations and purchases
  • Create promotional materials for events hosted by Campus Life
  • Utilize social media platforms to market events and current promotions
  • Update designated bulletin board

Required Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Office knowledge/experience
  • Be friendly, outgoing, and willing to learn
  • Have a good understanding of diverse multicultural environments
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate well
  • Be punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Ability to complete assigned projects on your own
  • Work well in a team setting with extended co-workers and staff
  • Good knowledge of CSN's basic need services and campus departments
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior customer service experience
  • We'll be interacting with students and visitors daily; we want to provide them with a friendly face and excellent service
  • Creativity and/or artistic skills
  • For our promotional materials, we update our designated bulletin board and post flyers around campus and on our social media pages
  • We're looking for someone who can help design those eye-grabbing flyers to post around
  • Computer skills
  • A tech-savvy individual who can pick up on a computer easily and learn new programs quickly
  • We utilize many different computer programs, from Microsoft Office for operations, to Canva for flyers, to Cricut Design Space for our bulletin board
