The CREC Academy of Computer Science & Engineering is seeking an innovative, creative, and collaborative leader to serve as a Dean of Students. As the Dean, the candidate would lead proactive initiatives in developing a positive culture of high expectations among students, staff, and families. Additional responsibilities for the Dean would include:
  1. Supporting culture and climate initiatives including restorative practices
  2. Addressing student disciplinary issues
  3. Collaborating with administration, student management staff, student support staff, and teachers to support school goals.
  4. Manage and analyze student behavior data trends
  5. Participate in grade-level team meetings
  6. Assist in developing tiered behavioral intervention strategies including behavior intervention plans.
  7. Attend and supervise after-school and community events
  8. Chaperone day and overnight field trips
  9. Oversee Restorative Team

Candidates must hold a valid CT Teacher Certification and CT 092 Certification. Previous experience in behavior management and special education programming is preferred. The qualified candidate will be mission-driven, highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and strong communication skills, and have experience in working with high school students and a student data management system.
