Job Summary
ProCare Therapy is actively interviewing for a student-focused Paraprofessional to fill a full-time contract opening in the Walpole, MA area. This role is designed for a dedicated professional who excels at building trust with students and helping them overcome academic and behavioral barriers. You will work on-site within a supportive school environment, ensuring that students with special needs have the tools and individual attention they need to succeed.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver individualized instructional support under the direct supervision of special education teachers.
Assist in the integration of students into general education classrooms and school activities whenever possible.
Cultivate a safe, nurturing, and respectful learning environment for all students.
Aid in the tracking, monitoring, and documentation of student behavioral and academic progress.
Provide physical or behavioral interventions as outlined by individual student support plans.
Job Requirements
Meet Massachusetts state requirements for Paraprofessionals (completion of at least 48 college credits, an Associate's degree, or a passing score on the ParaPro Assessment).
Prior experience working within a school district or with pediatric populations is highly preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively alongside teachers, therapists, and parents.
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing daily classroom dynamics.
