Position Summary
WashU's Division of Student Success seeks a leadership education professional for the position of Associate Director, Campus Life Leadership Programs. The Division of Student Success advances the educational mission of the university through resources and experiences outside the classroom that prepare our students for lifelong success.
The Associate Director serves as a key leader of the University's student facing leadership programs. The AD is a member of the senior leadership team reporting to the Director of Campus Life, while also working in partnership with the Bauer Leaders Academy: the University's Center for Leadership Programs. The position leads programming efforts with the overall goal of developing students as leaders, using the leadership vision and attributes established by the Bauer Leaders Academy.
The overall goal for students is to help them:
• Engage in deeper inquiry and insight into their self, particularly their sense of purpose and guiding values.
• Develop a leadership identity and an understanding of the form or approach that fits the student.
• Demonstrate growth in leadership capability, which results in impact in career and community.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Serves as the bridge between the Division of Student Success and Wash U Leads, ensuring that leadership activities in Campus Life and the Division fully align with the overall goals the University has set for Student Leadership Education.
• Manages an annual set of leadership programs to include new student orientation programs related to leadership, Clifton Strengths, an annual fall "Leadership Week" and several student leadership retreats through the academic year.
• Serves as a liaison to all the Directors in the Division of Student Success to coordinate a unified approach to student leadership development across the institution.
• Oversees marketing and advertising workshops, coaching experiences, and programs developed by Wash U Leads to students and student groups.
• Develops, in collaboration with the Director of Wash U Leads, an annual leadership assessment that is given to students to measure the impact of leadership programs. Creates an annual leadership audit, that describes the numbers and types of leadership experiences Wash U students are engaging in.
• Supervision of professional and student staff.
• Oversees the Leadership Programming budget.
• Serves as a member of the senior leadership team in Campus Life, developing a collaborative vision related to the co-curricular experience at Washington University.
• Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Campus Life.

Salary Range
$58,400.00 - $99,700.00 / Annually
The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
