Job description

The College of Education Dean's Office is seeking a professional, organized, and customer service-oriented Federal Work Study (FWS) Student Assistant to support daily administrative and operational functions within the Dean's Office. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality while working in a fast-paced academic environment. This position offers valuable experience in higher education administration and office operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet visitors and provide front-office customer service support
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls and general email inquiries 
  • Manage shared calendars, including scheduling and maintaining the Associate Dean's calendar
  • Assist with creating and maintaining onboarding packets and materials for new faculty and staff
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling and ensure rooms are properly set up for meetings and events
  • Assist with covering staff during lunch breaks
  • Maintain office organization, supplies, and general administrative resources
  • Prepare, scan, and organize documents into electronic filing systems
  • Assist with event planning and coordination for meetings, workshops, and college functions
  • Perform clerical and general office duties as assigned
  • Campus deliveries and pick-ups as needed

Average Number of Hours per Week:
Up to 20 hours per week

Schedule:
The College of Education Dean's Office is open Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Student work schedule will be determined based on class availability and departmental needs.
