Job Description SummaryStudent Worker, Summer Wellness Center is responsible for providing direction to members/guests; verifying membership status upon entry; responding to guest requests; monitoring fitness, gymnasium, and equipment room facilities; ensuring member safety; and enforcing building policies. These student workers will promote a fun environment and serve as an ambassador for Saint Leo University.
***This is a temporary student worker position for the 2026 Summer Semester. ***Job Description

DUTIES AND TASKS

  • Provide phone coverage and walk-in support for members and guests of the Wellness Center.
  • Resolve member/guest issues in a courteous, respectful manner.
  • Operate Fusion facility management software as instructed.
  • Ensure a safe workout environment through constant circulation of the pool, gymnasium and fitness floor.
  • Be available to set up a user on any piece of equipment or weight machine and properly provide spots to users.
  • Ability to set up volleyball and pickleball nets in the gymnasium for special events.
  • Keep the fitness floor clean and make sure all weights are in their proper place.
  • Enforce all building policies and procedures.
  • Check out equipment to members and guests.
  • Execute emergency procedures when necessary.
  • Report any incident of injury, theft, or broken equipment to the Supervisor on duty.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings.
  • Check in all members and guests who use the facility.
  • Other duties such as basic cleaning, maintenance, event setup and related tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge

  • Preferred proof of current certification of CPR, AED Essentials, Standard First Aid or willing to be certified inCPR,AED Essentials, and Standard First Aid, prior to working.
