Job description

Student Assistant

Job Title - Student Assistant

Position Type - Student

Division - Academic Affairs

Department - Center for International Studies

Essential Duties - Serves as receptionist, welcoming/serving visitors, answering phones, data entry, and other errands. Ability to communicate and listen effectively. Performs a variety of clerical tasks in a professional and service-oriented manner under supervision. Such as copying, filing, scanning, and data entry for ONBASE. Knowledge of clerical and general office procedures and practices; knowledge of spelling, grammar and punctuation; knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications and software. Ability to organize and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner; ability to perform work requiring accuracy and attention to detail; ability to operate a variety of office equipment. Picks up and distributes mail to appropriate personnel. Serves as secondary contact person for callers and visitors to the administrative office/department. Understand FERPA rules and regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications - Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes. Must have time availability to work in the summer sessions. Must be available during normal office hours M-F 8-5

Physical Demands - Must be able to lift 15lbs
