  • Current CLAS student with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Available to work 10 hours per week
  • Creative and interested in learning new skills
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations with discretion.
  • Computer skills, Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Job Description:
The Student Assistant supports the daily administrative operations of the department by providing exceptional customer service and assisting student and visitors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Advise students on general advising questions including:
  • Next term registration
  • Tracking requirements, college requirements and university requirements
  • Minors
  • Dual degrees/double majors
  • Grad checks
  • Process forms such as minors, double majors
  • Assist with the general advising email inbox
  • Run basic advising workshops such as "How to read your audit" or "To drop or not"

Expected Salary:
$15.00/hr
Required Qualifications:
  • Current CLAS student with a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Available to work 10 hours per week
  • Creative and interested in learning new skills
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information/situations with discretion.
