Job description

Garver's Buildings Team is seeking a motivated structural engineering, civil engineering (with a structural emphasis), or architectural engineering (with a structural emphasis) student as a Structural Engineering Intern to join our team in our Houston office.
Internship Description:
  • Work alongside and be mentored by experienced structural building design professionals and industry leaders
  • Learn about structural building systems and various building materials including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
  • Gain experience in the competitive consulting structural engineering industry

Requirements:
  • Must be pursuing a structural engineering degree, civil engineering degree, or an architectural engineering degree with a structural focus from an ABET accredited program
  • Strong desire to pursue a career in structural building systems engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred skills:
  • Experience with Revit
  • Pursuing a Master’s degree in structural engineering or civil engineering with a structural focus
Work Environment
This is an in-office position; duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required.
