Job description

The School of Graduate Studies seeks two Student Services Coordinator II employees to support operations in the Graduate School Office.  These positions will aid students in navigating the University with the ultimate goal of fostering an enhanced collegiate experience.


  • Managing the Graduate School Registrar general email account, replying to  inquiries or directing questions as appropriate.
  • Supporting Graduate Program Coordinators.
  • Processing graduate applications as needed, process transcripts, calculate GPAs.
  • Managing electronic forms.
  • Processing application materials.
  • Managing student records in Banner.
  • Answering questions from email and telephone inquiries.
  • Supporting graduate recruitment and training events.
  • Supporting other operations within the School of Graduate Studies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of experience; or a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of USU’s enterprise systems (e.g., Banner, Servicenow, Box)
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Ability to work without supervision
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
