Job description

This position is responsible to strengthen, stabilize, and improve BYU-Pathway Worldwide financial services. All candidates must be fluent in speaking and writing English. All candidates must currently be living in Utah. Employees will be specialized in assisting with organization systems, escalations, exceptions, policies, procedures, and involved in decision-making processes. Financial Services team members will need to develop professional relationships with other university officials and employees for collaboration and unified communication. 
Important: This part-time position typically works Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm. This is a hybrid position.

  • Must currently be living in Utah
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student and financial information (FERPA awareness preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/online environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience with customer service, cash handling, billing, or accounts receivable.
  • Exposure to or interest in accounting functions such as accounts payable, expense reporting, and financial reconciliations.

  • Assist with student account inquiries via email, phone, or chat.
  • Process payments, refunds, and account adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate student financial records.
  • Reconcile transactions and assist with reporting.
  • Support compliance with institutional policies and financial procedures.
  • Assist with student accounts operations and, as needed, provide support for accounting functions such as accounts payable, employee expense reporting, reconciliations, and related financial processes.
