Job Summary
The Georgia Gwinnett College Student Life office is dedicated to promoting a supportive, creative learning environment by developing campus community through student-centered programs and services. The Student Life office (SL) is looking for energetic students to provide friendly and effective customer experience to all students, faculty, staff, and guests. Student Center Operations is hiring students to provide support for Registered Student Organization events. Students may be assigned to additional areas based on preference, availability, and need.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with Set Ups of meeting and event spaces in the Student Center as requested by the
  • Get Involved event registration process
  • Assist with daily event support, including resetting meeting rooms, checking out event equipment, assisting with reservations and maintaining awareness of daily event schedules
  • Reset furniture in lounge spaces as well as classroom and event spaces
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness, and safety in all storage areas
  • Responsible for department inventory and warehouse materials, including transporting items
  • Collaborate with Student Life staff on projects as needed
  • Assist with A/V throughout the building, including the OSL Sound Cart
  • Assist with event dรฉcor, including tablecloths, and centerpieces
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, depending on need and availability
    Work Hours -
    Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends).

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 credit hours at Georgia Gwinnett College
  • Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment
  • Must be in good standing with Georgia Gwinnett College maintain good standing for the duration of employment
  • Must be proficient in Windows based PC's and skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Good customer service skills with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Accuracy and attention to details
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • GPA of at least 2.0

Preferred Qualifications
  • Golf cart certification eligible
  • Inventory management skills
