Job description

Finishes Superintendent — Where Craft Meets Command

Reno, NV | Full-Time | $150,000 – $200,000 DOE

The Opportunity

Anyone can hang drywall. Delivering flawless finishes across a $20M+ commercial project — on schedule, with a dozen specialty subs running concurrently — takes a leader. Our client, a top-tier general contractor with four decades of building across Nevada and the Mountain West, is hiring a Finishes Superintendent to own the complete finish-out: framing rough-in through plaster, paint, ceilings, flooring, millwork, and final punch — plus shell scope including building envelope and weatherproofing. This is a highly visible field leadership seat where your standards become the building's finish quality.

Why You'll Love It

  • Own the scope owners actually see: Finishes make or break owner satisfaction — and you run them
  • People-first culture: A locally operated, family-run firm that puts people before projects
  • Serious pay and a real ladder: $150K–$200K plus defined career advancement paths and mentoring programs
  • Full package: Health/dental/vision with family options, employer-paid life and disability, 401(k) match, education assistance, strong PTO

What You'll Do

  • Plan, schedule, and direct all finishing trades — metal stud framing, GWB, plaster, EIFS/stucco, paint, ACT/specialty ceilings, flooring, millwork, casework
  • Oversee shell scope: exterior framing, sheathing, waterproofing, air barriers, and envelope assemblies
  • Build and enforce the three-week look-ahead in coordination with the master schedule
  • Run daily and weekly subcontractor alignment meetings that drive real accountability
  • Enforce rigorous QC — daily inspections, documented non-conformances, timely corrective action
  • Partner with the PM, MEP superintendent, and owner's reps to sequence work and protect float
  • Lead safety in finishes areas: OSHA enforcement, toolbox talks, incident-free operations
  • Review submittals, shop drawings, and material samples for finish scopes
  • Lead punch list and closeout to Substantial and Final Completion standards
  • Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field personnel; maintain daily reports and documentation

What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of field construction experience, with 5+ as a superintendent focused on interior finishes and/or shell
  • Proven management of drywall, plaster, EIFS, painting, flooring, ceiling, and millwork subs on $20M+ projects
  • Deep knowledge of envelope systems, waterproofing details, and exterior wall assemblies
  • Proficiency with P6, MS Project, or Procore scheduling (Procore preferred)
  • OSHA 30 required; First Aid/CPR preferred
  • Sharp eye for detail and constructability in architectural and finish specs
  • Bachelor's in Construction Management or related preferred; equivalent field experience welcome

Set the standard every trade has to meet. Apply now.
