Structured Cabling Technician to join a leading Company in Raleigh, NC and the surrounding area.

Pay: $18 - 26/hr - pending experience

Schedule: Typically, 8am-4:30pm M-F, but flexibility is needed

We are looking for an experienced Installation Technician who will be installing low-voltage systems. Systems include access control, IP & analog video, nurse call, intrusion, structured cabling, Audio/Video and other types of low-voltage and network-based systems. This job will require attention to detail, professional appearance and behavior, excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work both self-directed and as a member of a team. Most work is completed during a normal 8-hour day, but all employees must be available for after-hours and weekend as required. Daily travel and some overnight travel is required. Opportunity for training and career growth.



POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Responsible for reading and understanding assigned project documentation including plans and specifications.

 Installing complex low-voltage systems including various Access Control, CCTV, Structured Cabling, Healthcare, Audio/Video & Intrusion Systems in a neat and professional manner.

 System commissioning.

 Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet, working in ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.

 Communicate and coordinate work with subcontractors as required to ensure efficient and timely completion of work.

 Complete all required paperwork in a timely and complete manner.

 Maintain all company property and supplies, including but not limited to vehicles, tools, uniforms, parts, and documentation.

 Perform other duties as assigned, including attending training classes when offered.


JOB SKILLS

 Access control and IP video hardware installation experience are a must.

 Experience installing Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Honeywell, Exacq, Milestone, Axis, and Hanwha hardware is preferred.

 Ability to install conduit including bending 90s, 45s, saddles and offsets.

 Ability to work both self-directed and as a member of a team.

 Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

 Strong work ethic and integrity.

 Attention to detail.

 Demonstrated technical aptitude.

 Able to use hand and power tools (i.e., drills, saws, etc.).

 Ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 lbs.

 Ability to work a full-time schedule. Work hours are typically 8am-4:30pm M-F, but flexibility is a must.

 Overtime with short notice may be required.

 Available for travel, which may include nights and weekends.

 Basic computer skills required, (i.e., Word, Excel, email).


EDUCATION

 High School Diploma or GED with formal electrical training required.


EXPERIENCE

 Minimum of 6 months Security industry experience


EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

 Must pass background check and drug screening.

 Must have valid driver’s license.

 Must be able to work nights and weekends, if required.

 Must be available for travel if required.

 Be able to lift at least 60 pounds above waist.
