STRUCTURAL STEEL PROJECT ENGINEER

Yonkers Contracting Company is seeking a qualified Structural Steel Project Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop specific work plans for erecting or demolishing structural steel bridges and sign structures. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Collaborate with structural design teams to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
  • Provide engineering support during the construction phase, addressing technical issues and resolving on-site issues related to structural steel fabrication and erection.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
  • Proven ability to collaborate and function effectively as part of a team
  • Proven experience in structural steel work for heavy civil construction projects
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
