The Role


Stratus recently partnered with PVEDI and is seeking a Structural Design Engineer to join its growing CSE Division. This role focuses on structural engineering and drafting support for work on bridges and buildings, including platforms, scaffold systems, containment framing, and access solutions. The Design Engineer will prepare drawings, calculations, models, and construction documents that support safe, practical, and constructible field solutions. This role involves preparing detailed technical drawings,

performing calculations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that design solutions are

accurate and compliant with industry standards.


Responsibilities


  • Develop detailed engineering designs, preparing technical drawings and models that align with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and analyses to ensure that designs are feasible, safe, and compliant with applicable codes and standards.
  • Use design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks) to create and modify engineering documents, including 3D models, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and consultants to integrate systems and equipment into comprehensive engineering solutions.
  • Research materials, technologies, and regulatory requirements to support the design process and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Participate in client and team meetings, presenting design updates and providing technical input on
  • engineering solutions.
  • Conduct site visits or inspections to gather data, evaluate project conditions, or assist with construction administration as needed.
  • Assist in quality control by reviewing engineering deliverables for accuracy and adherence to project goals and company standards.


Qualifications


Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited university (Civil or Architectural with a structural focus preferred)
  • 0-5 years of experience in engineering design



Preferred

  • Experience designing scaffolding and platforms
  • Familiarity with RISA, RAM Elements, Staad, MathCad, and/or similar structural software.
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) certification
