Summary: The Project Manager manages project execution from order receipt through completion, serving as the primary customer contact and proactively managing customer expectations throughout the project lifecycle. With a strong focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience, this role manages scope, schedules, deliverables, overall project value, shop drawing reviews, and change control while collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to foster effective communication, mitigate risks, and ensure accurate execution and on-time delivery.
Essential Duties:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, building strong relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously from purchase order receipt through production, delivery, project closeout, and final financial reconciliation.
  • Coordinate project activities with Estimating, Drafting, Operations, Scheduling, Shipping, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
  • Review quotations, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, drawings, and project specifications to confirm scope alignment and identify potential risks or gaps.
  • Manage and maintain project schedules, milestones, action items, and deadlines to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Own the collection, review, and management of project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, shop drawings, warranties, and customer correspondence.
  • Read and analyze architectural and structural, drawings to understand project requirements and provide customer feedback.
  • Identify, communicate, and document project scope changes, schedule impacts, and associated cost increases.
  • Monitor project budgets, invoice reconciliation, and billing activities to support accurate project financial management.
  • Maintain accurate project records, documentation, and status updates within Salesforce.
  • Communicate customer delivery requirements and project priorities to Scheduling and Operations teams.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, provide project status updates, and resolve issues in a professional and proactive manner.
  • Evaluate project risks and make sound business decisions while balancing customer satisfaction and company interests.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and share best practices.
  • Ensure all project closeout documentation is completed and provided to customers.
  • Follow company policies, Code of Conduct, compliance requirements, and all applicable standard operating procedures.
  • Support department objectives and perform additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, order management, manufacturing, construction products, or closely related industry.
  • Must have strong Customer Service experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or progress toward certification preferred
  • Understanding of AI-enabled tools and technologies that support productivity, process improvement, and customer experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing business needs, support process improvement and change initiatives, and embrace new technology and systems.

Computer Skills:
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications
  • Previous experience with CRM software
  • SAP or other equivalent ERP software knowledge is recommended
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam REVU preferred
