Architectural Project Manager

Salary Range: $90,000 to $125,000

Location: Los Angeles, CA; hybrid remote and inโ€‘person

We are seeking a handsโ€‘on Architectural Project Manager to join our growing design team. You will be responsible for overseeing small project teams to lead the design, permitting, factory production, and site installation of our modular prefabricated homes.

Job Description:
  • Collaborate closely with clients throughout the entire project lifecycle, fostering strong relationships, keeping them informed, and ensuring project outcomes align with their needs.
  • Create architectural designs from initial schematics through detailed drawing sets ready for state and local residential approval as well as factory production.
  • Lead coordination efforts with external architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and other project consultants.
  • Lead the permitting process and communications with local and state building departments. Ensure projects comply with applicable codes.
  • Coordinate with the factory team to ensure the smooth transition of the design and architectural drawings into production.
  • Actively participate in regular office initiatives to improve design quality, project delivery, and overall process efficiency.
Must Haves:
  • 5โ€‘12 years of relevant post-academic, professional experience.
  • Experience leading all phases of residential projects โ€“ from SD through CA.
  • Strong technical design and detailing skills.
  • Experience developing MEP drawings and coordinating across disciplines (structural, civil, MEP, fire sprinkler, interior design, etc.).
  • Excellent understanding of code compliance and the residential permitting process.
  • Experience managing client interactions with professionalism and confidence. Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
Niceโ€‘toโ€‘haves:
  • Experience with prefabricated or modular construction.
  • Architectural licensure in California.
