Job description

Join the Team at EVstudio – Driven by Design, Defined by Collaboration.

At EVstudio, we’re more than just a multidisciplinary design firm — we’re a collaborative team of architects, surveyors, engineers, and professionals dedicated to designing solutions that shape communities and elevate everyday experiences. Whether you’re just starting your career or bringing years of expertise, you’ll find a place at EVstudio to innovate, grow, and make an impact.

What You’ll Do:

This role is focused on structural design for modular and prefabricated building systems, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. Modular delivery requires a high level of adaptability, coordination, and design flexibility, and this role will be central to developing efficient, repeatable, and innovative structural solutions.

You will play a key role in design, analysis, and coordination while continuing to grow toward project leadership.

  • Perform structural design and analysis with an emphasis on modular, prefabricated, and volumetric construction systems
  • Design steel-framed, wood, and hybrid structural systems tailored for off-site fabrication and on-site assembly
  • Develop construction documents, calculations, and specifications that support modular production workflows
  • Collaborate closely with architects, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration between design, fabrication, and installation
  • Utilize Revit to develop and manage structural models, with attention to repeatable components and system efficiency
  • Coordinate with fabrication partners and contractors to address transportation, lifting, and assembly constraints
  • Participate in project meetings and support client communication
  • Assist with site observations and construction administration as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Typically 7+ years of relevant structural engineering experience
  • Experience with steel and wood frame design required; modular or prefabrication experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • PE or SE license required, or a passed PE/SE exam
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and adapt designs to meet the unique constraints of modular construction
  • Strong coordination and problem-solving skills, particularly in fast-paced or non-traditional project delivery environments

What We Offer:

We are targeting a base salary of $110,000 to $140,000, but is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area.

  • Medical insurance, including an HSA option
  • Dental insurance
  • Vision insurance
  • Employer-paid life insurance
  • STD & LTD
  • A minimum of 15 days PTO, and higher for more experienced employees
  • Accident insurance
  • 401k match of 4%
  • One full day of paid VTO (Volunteer Time Off) annually
  • Roth 401K option
  • Annual company ski day and summer picnic
  • Flexible hours
  • In many cases, our roles can be worked in a hybrid capacity
  • Monthly employee celebrations (with free lunch!)
  • The opportunity to touch every aspect of a project, from beginning to end
  • Free snacks
  • Weekly volleyball league in the Summer and bowling in the Winter
  • Company-owned bar in the parking lot of the Denver office
  • Relaxed dress code
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – If you have an idea, we want you to pursue it!
