Job description

Position: PCU/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Abilene, Texas

Schedule: Full-time | Various Shifts Available

Sign-On Bonus: Available for qualified candidates!


About the Role

As a PCU/Telemetry RN, youโ€™ll play a critical role in patient monitoring and care delivery. Youโ€™ll connect patients to telemetry equipment, interpret vital data, and collaborate with physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes. This position is perfect for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy critical thinking, and want to make a real impact.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct, individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry data to detect changes in patient status.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members on treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and health management.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold the Texas Nurse Practice Act standards.


Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or ADN; BSN preferred).
  • Current RN license (Texas or compact state).
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
  • ACLS & NIH Stroke Scale certification (may be completed during orientation).
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
