About Us
Thomann Asphalt is a family-owned full-service asphalt paving company. Thomann's extensive experience has kept us in business for over 100 years. The Company's primary focus is on commercial and industrial paving and site work projects in both the private and public sectors. We specialize in parking lot maintenance, including paving, patching, seal coating, crack sealing, drain work, and site work, which includes a full complement of grading, excavating, and utility installation services.
Essential Functions
  • Lead and manage a crew to ensure they follow safety protocols and complete tasks according to the project plan
  • Follow company and state guidelines for effective, safe, and well-managed work zones
  • Ensure quality control
  • Read blueprints, interpret plans, and lay striping patterns on pavement surfaces
  • Be proficient in using various striping equipment, including paint stripers, parking bumpers, and other specialized tools
  • Maintain equipment and supplies
  • Working on other crews
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has supervisory responsibilities for a crew.
Work Environment
This role routinely works outdoors and engages in physically demanding tasks. The employee will be regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, moving equipment, moving traffic, fumes, and airborne particles.
Travel
This position requires a significant amount of travel to work sites to meet the needs of the business.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, seasonal position. Based on business needs, extended hours, nights, and weekend work may be necessary. While in season, the typical work week is approximately 50-60 hours.
Physical Demands
The employee must be able to stand for long periods. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more.
