Assistant Football Coach
The Assistant Football Coach will be directly responsible to the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Responsibilities:
  1. Build a positive relationship with booster club, community, teaching staff, coaching staff, student body, and administration;
  2. Supervise student athletes;
  3. Instill the value of physical fitness, social development, sportsmanship, and academic achievement in student athletes;
  4. Provide adequate instructions for fundamentals;
  5. Demonstrate techniques and mechanics of fundamentals;
  6. Evaluate student athlete techniques and mechanic for fundamentals;
  7. Correct flaws and defects in student athletes performances;
  8. Plan strategies for competition;
  9. Make adjustments during competition;
  10. Cooperate with fellow coaches, officials and school personnel;
  11. Instill a value of knowledge and appreciation for the characteristic of the sport.

Requirements:
  1. Be supportive of the head coach;
  2. Accept duties assigned by the head coach;
  3. Respects and enforces the letter and intent of rules and regulation and Code of Behavior with integrity;
  4. Dress appropriately for practice and games;
  5. Display enthusiasm in coaching;
  6. Develops athletes' leadership skills;
  7. Help players develop and strengthen values and morals;
  8. Exhibits knowledge of the sport;
  9. Maintain high ethical standard for coaches and students;
  10. Promote all sports in the athletic program;
  11. Cooperative in sharing facilities;
  12. Is prompt in meeting team for practice, competition, buses and meetings.

Qualifications:
  1. Must have valid Illinois Standard Teaching Certificate or have satisfactorily completed a coaching training program approved by the IHSA Board of Director (ASEP);
  2. CPR/AED certified.
