Job description

Salary: $18 - $26 / hour DOE

Altius Gymnastics is seeking a part-time team coach to work with athletes in our Development Program and assist with our Xcel Bronze, Silver, and Gold teams. This role focuses on building strong fundamentals and helping athletes develop the strength, technique, and confidence needed to progress toward Levels 4,5 and 6 and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Coach Development Program athletes and assist with Xcel team practices
  • Teach strong gymnastics fundamentals including shapes, strength, flexibility, and technique
  • Implement safe skill progressions across vault, bars, beam, and floor
  • Help prepare athletes for competition and support team culture
  • Attend occasional competitions as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching a developmental or pre-team gymnastics program preferred
  • Understanding of progressions leading into compulsory gymnastics, especially Levels 4 - 6
  • Ability to safely spot skills on all four events
  • Positive coaching style and strong communication skills
  • USA Gymnastics safety certifications (or willingness to obtain)
