Job description

JOB TITLE: Street Sweeper (CDL-B) - Full-Time
LOCATION: Beech Grove, IN
HOURS: 1st shift, occasional nights and weekends, schedule subject to change based on business needs.
COMPENSATION: $24.00-26.00 / Hour
TRAVEL: Minimal (1-10%) - Some travel, 3-4 days for a couple of jobs, where they will be working nights.

In this role, you'll take ownership of assigned routes, drive the street sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to keep streets clean and well-maintained.
The job responsibilities below outline the core duties and expectations of a position, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals.   • Route Execution: Review routes in advance, ask clarifying questions as needed, and complete assigned work on time with attention to quality.
  • Safety & Inspections: Complete required pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe and operational before starting work.
  • Equipment & Material Handling: Operate equipment safely and efficiently, follow traffic laws and site protocols, and handle materials according to disposal and safety procedures.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Immediately report equipment issues, incidents, or safety concerns and accurately complete required logs and paperwork.
  • Professional Communication: Represent the Company professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
  • Adaptability & Reliability: Respond effectively to changing conditions, solve problems as they arise, and maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Experience: 1 year DOT driving experience - waste & recycling services experience preferred
  • License: CDL-B & DOT Medical Card

  • Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
