Job Description

The NBCU Ad Sales Growth Strategy team is responsible for driving growth opportunities for Peacock, NBCU Streaming, and the wider sales organization. Acting as strategic consultants, this dynamic team supports Ad Sales and corporate stakeholders across a wide range of initiatives including long-term strategic planning, go-to-market strategies, business case development, sales optimization, and budget planning.

The Director, Streaming & Growth Strategy will interface with business leaders across multiple functions, both inside and outside Ad Sales. We're looking for a proactive self-starter to bring innovative thinking and strong analytical skills to help grow our business.  As an integral part of a blue-chip team with significant media experience, you will impact revenue growth across Peacock & the rest of the NBCUniversal portfolio by identifying, developing, and optimizing revenue generating strategies that drive monetization goals.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Formulating new growth strategies across Peacock & NBCU's Ad Sales portfolio

  • Partner & lead cross-function workstreams with key stakeholders across Peacock / Media Group to develop company-wide growth strategies, evaluating sales rationale and long-term value.
  • Develop business case analyses, evaluating new monetization strategies and "whitespace" opportunities that drive revenue/demand & elevate to executive audience to secure "green light" for investment.
  • Lead materials development for key recurring workstreams across Ad Sales / Peacock / Media Group

Optimizing NBCU's streaming product strategy to maximize demand, while being responsive to marketplace conditions and the competitive landscape.

  • Partner with Ad Sales business leaders and across functional teams to develop ad strategies for Streaming portfolio, leading execution, internal socialization and operationalization.
  • Provide strategic vision and guidance on ad sales streaming positioning & go-to-market narrative.
  • Regularly assess in-market performance and Sales feedback to develop new recommendations, product enhancements & strategies to drive demand.
  • Elevate trends & insights that inform future strategies and recommendations for executive audience.

Developing C-Suite presentations to recommend or inform on advertising strategy, performance, and new opportunities for growth and investment to Ad Sales leadership and/or corporate executives.

  • Collaborate with ad sales business leaders to provide strategic storytelling across key annual presentations & lead supporting analyses as needed.
  • Drive ad hoc requests with thoughtful, diligent analytics in coordination with cross-functional partners.
Qualifications
  • Must possess a passion for media and strong intellectual curiosity.
  • A minimum of 6 years previous relevant work experience; this could include media experience at a tech/network/streaming company, professional services (e.g., consulting, investment banking), or corporate strategy/finance.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and proven proficiency summarizing information/analyses into coherent and concise slides.
  • Proven quantitative analytical abilities, including Excel modeling skills. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to present results of complex analyses clearly. 
  • Excellent organizational, time and people management skills and the ability to work in groups and independently. 
  • BA/BS required. MBA preferred.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Previous experience developing executive/client facing PowerPoints, owning financial models/scenarios & Finance/Consulting/Banking background strongly preferred.
  • Passion for diving into complex concepts, defining value propositions, and collaborating with other business lines on long-term growth strategies.
  • Ideal candidate is a proactive individual who possesses the ability to take initiative and perform analysis and other tasks with minimal supervision, including the ability to deal with competing priorities effectively, and work efficiently in a high-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with across all levels of the organization.

Additional Requirements:

Hybrid: This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
