Job description

Military Value Stream Assembler

LOCATION: Piqua, Ohio

BUSINESS UNIT: Crane Pumps & Systems

DEPARTMENT: Operations

SEGMENT: Process Flow Technologies

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION:

Assembles parts at workstations per work instructions and on the job training. Tests pumps and accessories to meet product specifications. Uses hand tools and power tools to assemble units according to product specifications. Identifies units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repairs as necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assemble parts per prints, work instructions, and on the job training.
  • Use basic hand tools and air tools to assemble products.
  • Performs specified electrical and performance tests on subassemblies and assembled product.
  • Assists on paint line as needed.
  • Completes key performance indicators (KPIs) for performance measurement.
  • Ability to work with other people in a team environment.
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
  • Other duties as signed

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Skills/Abilities: Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently

  • Skills/Abilities:
    • Prior manufacturing experience preferred
    • Mechanical / electrical aptitude preferred
