Role at a Glance
TAIT is looking for a Senior Civil Project Manager to lead public works and land development projects from vision through completion. You'll serve as both a project leader and client liaison-managing scope, design, and delivery while mentoring team members and driving new business through agency outreach. This is a hands-on role with room to grow, backed by a company that gives you real ownership of your work.
What You'll Do
  • Identify and pursue new public agency opportunities
  • Lead civil engineering design and project management for public works and private development
  • Oversee project scope, budget, scheduling, and plan production
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers and CAD staff
  • Build and maintain client relationships, proposals, and contracts
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and profitability across projects
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders
What You Bring
  • California PE license (required)
  • 10+ years of civil engineering experience, with public works focus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects independently
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive problem-solver
Additional Requirements
  • Valid CA driver's license
  • Ability to visit job sites and attend in-person meetings as needed
Salary and Benefits
Salary range $130,000/yr - $150,000/yr
