Job Summary:
The Senior Manager Business Analysis has a significant impact on the achievement of operational goals by ensuring any new software integration into existing company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. The Senior Manager Business Analysis is responsible for strategic and operational decisions to support deployment of high quality, sustainable, and forward-thinking systems into the CooperVision architecture. They build customer-centric recommendations informed by analysis, good business insight and partner with the business to drive improvements in a matrixed environment through creativity, and effective communication. They lead efforts with various teams and will develop and deliver operational tools and reports by translating large datasets into digestible and actionable information using internal reporting, collaborating with team members, evaluating complex information and recommending solutions to guide future organizational decisions and alignment with business objectives. They are also accountable for providing oversight, guidance, and mentorship to BSA Lead and BSA team members who are responsible for providing quality solutions.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to manufacturing site systems leadership team members, the BSA Lead, and business system analysts (BSA's) on project and non-project work including delegation of tasks, continuous improvement of processes, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and driving employee development.
    Monitor project activities and manage resources to meet project schedules. Guide team members to identify project risks and to proactively develop countermeasures to mitigate those risks before they become project-impacting.
  • Works closely with leaders across the organization to support development and preparation of long-term strategy, supporting operational growth.
  • Promote the vision of the Global Manufacturing Systems team and align this vision to the daily activities of the global manufacturing BSA teams. Actively promote and lead organizational changes by advocating for new ideas, motivating others to embrace change, and facilitating positive transformations.
  • Drive transformational change by questioning conventional methods and challenging existing assumptions. Ensure systems and processes are continually optimized for efficiency and effectiveness, deploying automated solutions whenever possible.
  • Create and enforce expectations for high quality documentation throughout all phases of projects and change requests including specifications related to requirements, designs, and validations. Review documents for accuracy and provide team members with timely feedback.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications for system development including system architecture, data flow, and user interface design. Stay up to date with emerging UI/UX trends, technologies, and best practices. Work closely with technical teams to define MES interface standards.
  • Construct executive-level presentations and present sophisticated analytical findings in clear, concise and decision-impacting manner. Possess the ability to influence leadership through fact-based analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational strategies with broader organizational goals.
  • Communicate strategic objectives to senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring alignment and achievement.
  • Lead evaluations to establish core business competencies and provide competitive advantages.
  • Support business case development for technology and infrastructure investments.
  • Identify continuous improvement initiatives that will provide long term strategic benefits.
  • Represent Global Manufacturing effectively within cross functional projects, understanding impact, providing expertise from a business and systems perspective.

Travel Requirements:
  • Global travel ranging from 25-50%.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or computer science; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience in manufacturing process and supporting systems.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience leading or managing a team.
  • Commensurate Technical experience to perform the job duties.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Ability to motivate, guide, and manage a team of BSA's.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute projects effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills: able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a fast and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve simple to complex system problems in creative ways.
  • Ability to effectively translate between business, functional and technical teams.
  • Ability to identify risk and mitigation plans related to both processes and systems.

  • Adept at creating training materials and providing training to employees of varying skill levels.
  • Experience implementing manufacturing execution systems
  • Business systems analysis experience in the medical device or other regulated industry.
  • Experience working with and integrating global ERP and MES systems.
  • Experience integrating MES with manufacturing lines and measuring equipment.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and eliminating waste from processes.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management frameworks.
  • Ability to create process flowcharts and swim lane diagrams.
  • Experienced in applying lean principles to identify and eliminate waste within processes.
  • Comfortable with root cause analysis techniques.
  • Ability to produce exceptional quality output.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $140,186.00 and $200,266.00 per year and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
