What will your typical day look like?

Well, that is the fun part - it depends. As a member of the DT&PMI team, you will have the opportunity to work across an array of client scenarios and develop expertise across technology, operations, strategy, finance and much more. While every project is unique, if you asked one of our team members about the type of work they are involved in, they would likely highlight responsibilities such as:

  • Play a pivotal role on client engagement teams supporting key decision makers in developing and executing strategies for turnarounds and/or M&A transactions
  • Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative research and analysis of client, industry, and market performance, and synthesize results into practical strategies and action plans
  • Assist with the assessment and configuration of a client’s target operating model, and the identification of synergies and key value drivers
  • Identify, validate, and track synergy and value creation opportunities, helping clients realize transaction objectives and deliver measurable business outcomes
  • Develop and deliver impactful client outcomes, including analyses, reports, workshops, presentations, and actionable recommendations that support key business decisions
  • Work with collaborative teams to shape every aspect of businesses and help organizations across a wide range of industries to imagine, deliver, and run their future
  • Help clients realize the full value of transactions and transformations by supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, operating model redesigns, and large-scale business change initiatives
About the team

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious, results oriented individual to make a significant contribution to our dynamic and growing DT&PMI team. Situated within Strategy, Risk and Transactions (SRT), Mergers & Acquisitions, our team plays a pivotal role as clients transform their businesses. Working collaboratively within integrated, cross-functional teams, our practitioners are involved through all phases of the M&A lifecycle, including strategy, operational readiness, due diligence, pre-and post-close planning and execution, and post – transaction transformation initiatives. We work across industries to deliver a range of services including defining the vision, strategy, and operating model for business functions; assessing system architecture; process design; business case development; assessment of potential value creation and deal structure; operational and commercial due diligence; and integration/separation planning. 
Additionally, enterprise profitability engagements assist clients with optimizing their business models and improving the bottom line.

In this role, the expected qualifications are: 

  • For a Winter (January) 2027 start date, you must be completing a post-secondary degree or diploma between December 2025 - December 2026 and for a Fall (September) 2027 start date, you must be completing a post-secondary degree or diploma between September 2026 - September 2027.
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and a strong passion for solving complex business challenges
  • Are interested in project management, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in an ambiguous environment
  • Are familiar with the M&A lifecycle at an operational level and events (e.g., restructuring, business transformation, or turnaround)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project)
  • Can contribute to the production of high-quality reports outlining key project issues, data analysis, and recommendations through effective and visual PowerPoint reports (including logical structuring and storyboarding skills)
  • Can make detailed assessments of technology, operations, or back-office functions to identify risks, opportunities, and value creation levers
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and deliver results in a client-service environment
  • Are legally eligible to work in Canada and able to enter the USA to work on client assignments


Quebec Location: We require basic English language skills to meet the needs of our clients. In the context of mandates, you could work for clients with activities outside of Quebec and where the first language is English

The salary range for this position is $56,000.00 - $84,000.00, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
