About the Role:
The Assistant Manager of Menu Strategy & Innovation will assist in short- and long-term menu strategy & innovation initiatives. This position will support the Sr. Director, Innovation and work cross-functionally to bring projects from the ideation phase to launch. This role is responsible for being the subject matter expert on developing, gaining alignment to and leading guest- and insight-driven innovation that successfully meets evolving guest needs and drives business objectives and brand affinity
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Help synthesize insights and data to deliver fresh, new thinking and recommendations on category development
  • Develop category analyses and insights that fuel innovative ideas
  • Collaborate with Culinary, Consumer Insights, Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations, and Suppliers to turn new products into reality
  • Create differentiated product concepts and positioning
  • Manage product market tests and help sell-in to owner/operator partners
  • Contribute to work with agency partners and Marketing team to bring the products to life in communications
  • Assistant with building compelling business cases
  • Manage the coordination of product development and testing project timelines, including consumer taste tests, qualitative focus groups, and operations / market tests
  • Gather and analyze guest experience data, market research, market penetration, and results of marketing programs to provide recommendations on adjusting market strategy/tactics, to increase sales/transactions, to achieve marketing goals, and to maintain awareness of changing market and competitive conditions
  • Support the development of a guest- and insight-driven innovation pipeline to deliver strategic objectives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing, food marketing or innovation experience preferred.
