Job description

Title: Senior Director, IT Enterprise Strategy & Services

Location: West Palm Beach, FL (3 days onsite &2 days remote per week)

Type:Direct Hire

Position Summary

Lead a multi-functional IT organization overseeing Infrastructure Architecture, PMO, Portfolio Planning, Application Support, Infrastructure Operations, and Site Support. Application Support and Infrastructure Operations are outsourced. This role provides leadership, direction, and performance management to a team of senior leaders responsible for critical IT service domains. Ideal candidate has a strong background in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and vendor management, with a proven track record leading complex IT projects and managing outsourced services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement IT strategy aligned with business goals, SAP as one of the major focuses
  • Oversee enterprise and infrastructure architecture design/implementation for scalability, security, and efficiency
  • Own enterprise IT portfolio planning, prioritization, and execution
  • Accountable for both “run” (operations, support, stability) and “change” (projects, transformation) across the IT portfolio
  • Define and enforce service delivery KPIs/SLAs across infrastructure and application support functions
  • Own managed services strategy and vendor performance
  • Lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives: cloud adoption, platform standardization, automation, service modernization
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Establish and manage vendor/service provider relationships, including contract negotiation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices
  • Monitor and optimize infrastructure/application performance, availability, and capacity
  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals
  • Own operating and capital budgets across infrastructure, support, and portfolio execution
  • Refine enterprise-wide IT architecture standards; embed security/compliance requirements
  • Serve as active member of the Architecture Review Board, evaluating technology acquisitions and IT solutions
  • Provide operational governance, partnering with Enterprise Architecture leadership (outside direct reporting line) to enforce strategic architecture direction
  • Drive IT rationalization, technology convergence, and standardized platforms
  • Deliver infrastructure strategy across hosting, cloud, mobility, IoT, networking, integration, collaboration, and end-user computing
  • Lead cloud-first strategy and migration planning for key applications/systems
  • Architect and deploy secure, robust applications on AWS
  • Lead technology evaluation processes and Architecture Review Board governance
  • Build and maintain a holistic view of IT strategy, processes, information, and technology assets
Required Qualifications
  • Strong experience in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, and project management
  • Equivalent experience with networking and systems equipment
  • Experience within packaged software, especially SAP
  • Proven experience managing outsourced IT services
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and methodologies
  • Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, and modern infrastructure technologies
  • Experience in on-prem and cloud server management, including co-located data center environments
  • Experience with network, voice, and data infrastructure architecture, implementation, and support
  • Experience with private and public cloud infrastructure architecture, implementation, and support
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating closely with vendors
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities in a fast-paced environment
