Job description

At eBay, we're more than a global ecommerce leader - we're changing the way the world shops and sells. Our platform empowers millions of buyers and sellers in more than 190 markets around the world. We're committed to pushing boundaries and leaving our mark as we reinvent the future of ecommerce for enthusiasts.
Our customers are our compass, authenticity thrives, bold ideas are welcome, and everyone can bring their unique selves to work - every day. We're in this together, sustaining the future of our customers, our company, and our planet.
Join a team of passionate thinkers, innovators, and dreamers - and help us connect people and build communities to create economic opportunity for all.
The Global Analytics team is reimagining how data builds decisions, strategy, and innovation across the company. We sit at the center of insights - using AI and analytics to unlock growth, build customer value, and shape eBay's next chapter.
This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product, operations, and executive communications. We are looking for a Strategy & Operations Lead to help the organization operate effectively, communicate its impact, and build stronger connections with partners across the company. You will partner closely with the Global Analytics leadership team to shape priorities, establish effective operating rhythms, prepare for executive forums, translate complex analytical work into clear, compelling narratives, and scale AI solutions. You'll operate across levels - translating strategy into activation and ideas into deployed products.
A central part of this role will be telling the story of Global Analytics. You will connect individual projects and insights to broader business priorities, increase awareness and adoption of the team's work, and ensure that leaders across the organization understand where and how Analytics is creating value.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, strategic thinker, and exceptional communicator who can move fluidly between long-term planning and urgent day to day execution. You should be comfortable working with senior executives, synthesizing complex information quickly, and driving alignment across a global, cross-functional organization
What you'll work on:
Enable Global Analytics:
  • Partner with the Global Analytics leadership team to manage the organization's operating rhythm, including planning cycles, leadership meetings, business reviews, all-hands, and offsites
  • Create visibility into priorities, milestones, risks, dependencies, and resource needs across the portfolio
  • Drive decisions, strengthen accountability and follow through while improving the organization's day to day effectiveness

Elevate Executive Storytelling
  • Translate complex analytics, AI initiatives, and business results into clear, compelling executive narratives.
  • Connect insights to business implications, strategic tradeoffs, and the decisions leaders need to make.
  • Develop presentations and decision materials for senior leadership forums

Activate and Mobilize AI Across Analytics
  • Surface compelling AI use cases and products from across Analytics, highlighting the problems they solve, how they were developed, and the value they create
  • Turn successful examples into clear stories, demonstrations, and reusable tools that other teams can learn from
  • Educate and inspire teams through showcases, forums, playbooks, and peer learnings
  • Establish shared practices, surface successful use cases, and measure adoption and value across the organization

Connect and Influence Across eBay
  • Build strong relationships across functions, regions, and leadership teams to align priorities and accelerate execution
  • Evangelize the work and impact of Global Analytics through executive updates, success stories, and organization wide forums
  • Bring together diverse perspectives, influence key stakeholders, and translate enterprise needs into clear priorities for Analytics

Drive Analytics AI Product Adoption
  • Promote Analytics-developed AI products and capabilities across eBay, clearly articulating their value and relevant business applications.
  • Develop adoption strategies, communications, demonstrations, and success stories that build awareness and encourage sustained usage
  • Track adoption, engagement, and business impact to demonstrate value and inform future priorities

What you bring
Relevant experience:
  • 8-10+ years in strategy, business operations, analytics, or consulting with a data-driven or technology-forward environment

Enterprise influence:
  • Strong executive presence and clear, compelling written and verbal communication, and ability to develop C-Suite ready presentations
  • Ability to influence, build trust, and partner effectively across regions, cultures, functions, and organization levels, including senior executives

Operational agility:
  • Strong organization capabilities to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and dependencies with discipline and focus
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt quickly in ambiguous, fast moving environments

Technical fluency:
  • Ability to translate complex analytics and AI/ML enabled work into clear business implications, decisions, and actions
  • Strong command of KPIs, performance measurement, dashboards, and business diagnostics

Strategic leadership:
  • Proven ability to develop roadmaps, prioritize across a portfolio of initiatives, and drive measurable business outcomes
  • Ability to anticipate needs, surface risks early, and drive work forward with limited direction
