Metrea Algorithmics (MAX) is electronic warfare and cyberspace solutions and engineering services company support the Department of Defense. With deep asset, mission, industry and finance expertise, and a truly global reach, Metrea focuses on de-risking our customer's aerospace requirements across a number of different mission verticals.

As a Metrea Algorithmics computer scientist you will be assisting in the design and development of the core MAX software applications and products.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each duty listed below satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Support the design, development, and management of small teams of mixed engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, RF, Software; in schedule and resource constrained high priority projects with particular focus on the implementation of effective, efficient, and scalable technologies and processes that assist in execution of the business, and customer and mission support.

Support the development the necessary engineering frameworks and models, and in partnership across Metrea, acquire and implement systems, capabilities, and methodologies that will best facilitate customer support from tactical to strategic levels across the group.

Support the development of an overall technical solution that covers the entire product management lifecycle: working with end customers to discover current use cases, needs, and capabilities, developing CONOPS, solution architectures, requirements synthesis, and decomposition, trade studies, make vs buy decisions, and analysis of alternatives.

Identify areas of growth in Metrea's knowledge, skillsets, and attitudes, and develop a systematic approach to professional development and talent acquisition in order to build a high-performing systems engineering team.

Support the identification RF software, hardware, and infrastructure requirements to support Metrea and MAS and create a roadmap framework across Metrea Aerospace.

Providing Support Capacity across Metrea

Support the Strategy (STRAT) BCA to inform enterprise strategy with key MAS and Metrea Aerospace considerations and remain an active participant on all major enterprise engineering decisions, to include the commencement of new software, hardware, and infrastructure capabilities.

Support the STRAT/Risk team by informing on engineering needs of the business and the risk exposure dashboards with MAS and Metrea Aerospace risks, as well as by supporting risk mitigation efforts.

Work closely with the MAX and the Electromagnetic Cyber Group (EMCG) Leadership Team to inform the design, implementation, and further development of Metrea Aerospace's technical and engineering methodologies.

As required, provide LEG/Compliance with the EMCG's inputs that are required to perform all necessary compliance functions and ensure that Metrea's compliance policies cover all known requirements as required.

As required, work closely with LEG/Contracts to ensure that contract structuring & economics supports business objectives and customer requirements.

  • Must be able to interface with mid-level to senior external/internal customers and have excellent presentation skills.
  • Must be able and willing to operate against deadlines with accuracy and a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be results-oriented and demonstrate strategic thinking, innovation, flexibility in dealing with changing and ambiguous situations.
  • Contribute to comprehensive logistical and accountability processes, to include, capabilities, solutions, time, costs, and analysis in support of proposal development or departmental budgeting & forecasting.
  • Must be able to work with confidential data, which if disclosed, might have significant internal and external impact on the organization.

  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

This job operates in a clerical office and warehouse setting.

This is a full-time position with typical working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours and work shifts may change in accordance with department and business needs. Exempt employees must have the ability to be on-call and available outside of typical working hours, as business needs require.

Experience: 10-15 years as a developer.

Education: bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
