Strategic Projects Delivery Manager - define HGA's digital project delivery strategies and practice embedded roadmap!

Locations:  Minneapolis, MN; Milwaukee, WI; Boston, MA; Washington, DC; San Francisco, or Santa Monica, CA

As part of the Digital Practice Group, the Strategic Projects Delivery Manager partners with practice leaders, project teams, external consultants and vendors, and technology leadership to enhance project outcomes through effective use of BIM, design technology, data, and digital delivery processes. This role provides leadership for project delivery standards, technology implementation, resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives and leads a team of project delivery professionals while serving as a trusted advisor to project teams, helping drive consistency, innovation, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role you will:

Project Delivery Leadership

  • Define and lead project delivery strategies, standards, and workflows across projects and disciplines.
  • Partner with project teams to optimize project delivery processes, technology utilization, and project outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and oversight for complex project delivery challenges throughout the project lifecycle.

Resource Planning & Operational Management

  • Develop and manage project delivery workplans, staffing assignments, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Influence resource needs and coordinate internal and external resources to support project and business objectives.
  • Ensure effective operational execution through workload management, prioritization, and service delivery oversight.

Technology & Process Innovation

  • Lead initiatives that improve project delivery workflows, standards, technology utilization, and operational efficiency.
  • Research emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance project delivery capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the project delivery team.

Collaboration & Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with project teams, practice leaders, Digital Practice Group leadership, and IT to develop and implement project delivery solutions.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic initiatives and project success.
  • Contribute to firmwide efforts that advance operational excellence and align with HGA's strategic priorities.

People Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop project delivery professionals through performance management, mentoring, and career development.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Support succession planning and development of future project delivery leaders.

You will need to have:

  • Accredited degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Professional licensure required.
  • Minimum 15 years of related industry experience; 20 years of experience may be considered in lieu of an advanced degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing teams, projects, or strategic initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital project delivery methodologies, BIM workflows, and design technology applications.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery processes, multidisciplinary coordination, and industry best practices.
  • Working knowledge of emerging technologies and trends impacting design and project delivery.

Salary Information:

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA’s robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range: $132,200 - $150,000 (Mid-West) or $156,000 - $178,000 (East/West Coast) depending on location, qualifications and experience.
