About this Position
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The School of Engineering & Construction Technologies Program Support Strategist strengthens and enhances the School, the success of its students, offerings and extramural linkages through strategic engagement in recruitment, retention, promotional, extramural and support-focused activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's
    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university. Candidates with alternate combinations of credentials and/or experience may be considered.
    (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • Experience:
    • Evidences a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
    • Demonstrated success in collaborating with and serving diverse constituencies.
    • Formal experience in public relations, sales, marketing and/or promotions.
    • Work experience in higher education or similar environment highly preferred.
    • Experience working with a range of audiences.
  • Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:
    • Valid Oklahoma driver's license. Class A CDL driver's license preferred.
  • Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:
    Skills and Abilities:
    • Understanding of current student recruitment and retention best practices.
    • Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with other internal and external constituents to ensure deliverables are met.
    • Ability to develop and deliver promotional content, presentations and other materials for a variety of audiences and multiple venues using both electronic and print means.
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, professional appearance and demeanor.
    • Flexible, creative and self-motivated; able to plan, organize and fulfill complex activities and initiatives.
    • Able to continuously improve processes and practices, and quickly grasp and apply new skills and methods to existing and emergent issues.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility and judgment in a deadline-drive environment.
    • Knowledge of and experience in working with a range of communications and work productivity technologies.
    • Ability to manage data from and in a range of information systems.
    • Ability to effectively recognize and constructively resolve complex problems.
    • Customer-service driven and able to work with, and respond constructively to, various internal and external constituencies.
    • Ability to work effectively with and promote distinct populations.
