We are seeking a highly analytical and execution-focused Procurement Manager to lead sourcing, vendor strategy, and cost control across equipment, services, and operational spend categories.
Job Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost efficiency across all procurement activities. This role supports both Rental Services (RS) and Heavy Rents (HR) by ensuring timely, cost-effective acquisition of equipment, parts, services, and logistics support.
The Procurement Manager partners closely with Fleet, Service, Central Logistics, Operations, and Finance to align procurement decisions with utilization goals, capital efficiency, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Sourcing Strategy & Vendor Management
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies across key spend categories (equipment, parts, hauling, services, consumables)
  • Establish and manage relationships with OEMs, dealers, and service providers
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure competitive cost structures
  • Evaluate supplier performance and enforce service level expectations

Cost Control & Spend Management
  • Drive cost discipline across procurement categories aligned to Central Operations targets
  • Identify savings opportunities and reduce cost-to-serve across operations
  • Monitor market pricing trends and ensure competitiveness of supplier agreements
  • Track and report procurement savings and cost performance

Fleet & Capital Procurement Support
  • Partner with Fleet Manager on equipment sourcing, purchase timing, and vendor selection
  • Support capital planning through pricing analysis and supplier negotiations
  • Align procurement decisions with fleet mix strategy and utilization targets
  • Assist in evaluating OEM vs. secondary market purchasing strategies

Operational Procurement & Execution
  • Ensure timely procurement of parts, services, and operational supplies to support uptime and execution
  • Support Service teams with vendor sourcing for repairs, specialty work, and subcontracted services
  • Coordinate with Central Logistics on hauling vendor sourcing and cost control
  • Remove bottlenecks in procurement that impact customer delivery or job execution

Standardization & Process Discipline
  • Establish procurement policies, approval thresholds, and standard vendor processes
  • Improve purchasing visibility and control through standardized workflows
  • Ensure compliance with procurement procedures across branches and departments
  • Support system utilization and data accuracy for purchasing activity

Analytics & Reporting
  • Develop dashboards for tracking spend by category, supplier, and region
  • Analyze procurement trends and identify areas for optimization
  • Provide data-driven insights to support cost, capital, and vendor decisions
  • Support monthly business reviews with procurement performance updates

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred

Experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management
  • Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, or asset-intensive industries strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing vendors and negotiating contracts
